Now the sound is also half and half, while the zombies sound great and scary, the human character don't have very good voice acting, not that it is horrible, but it can kill the immersion. Lastly is that this game could have better animations, lets just say that it is a good thing that the game is in first person because the third person animations can look pretty bad (look at your shadow when you run and you will know what I mean). When you enter a new location it will take a few seconds for the textures to load and this can be rather annoying. For one there is so much screen tearing in this game, when you are attacking enemies and the camera is just whipping all over the place this happens a lot. While the raw power is great it has a number of technical flaws. That and the designs for a lot of the special zombies can look pretty crazy and nasty looking, like they should. The environments at times can look down right beautiful, the sunny beaches, the shimmering water, light coming through the canopy of a jungle, this game can look very pretty at times. Graphics: The graphics sure have their highs and they sure have their lows. I will still give it a decent score because it is not horrible and it does capture the right mood for this type of game.
If you like zombie movies then you might enjoy it because it feels a lot like those, with a tense atmosphere and sense of doom all around. Now thats not saying the story is terrible or anything. Lastly is that all the emotion and drama that the developers tried to fit in dosen't work out well at all and is not very powerful (like the trailers might have hinted at). To be honest you will fill a lot of your time doing a lot of the side quests and they are not a whole lot different from the main missions. The pacing is really off and it feels like most of the levels you do are just filler. Speaking of which a lot of the main characters aren't really all that interesting and mostly fill in the stereotypes for characters in a zombie movie. A lot of the game you are just running around doing fetch quests for the characters and this dosen't really do a whole lot of character development for any of the characters. To be honest the story isn't really there, if you know what I mean. Along the way you will mainly do quests for the other characters in the story that somewhat progress the story. After a long night of partying, they wake up to discover that the resort they are staying at is now over run with zombies and they soon learn that that they are the only ones that are immune to the zombie virus. Xian Mei an employee at the resort, Logan Carter, an ex-football player, Sam B, a rapper who was booked to preform at the resort, and Purna a bodyguard. The game centers around four main characters (You choose the one you want to play as in the beginning).
